A Colorful Wedding on the Family Farm!
Not only am I super talented interior decorator (haha, just tooting my own horn!) but I also dabble in event planning and decorating! Here are some images from a wedding I did recently. Their colors where tangerine and celedon and the theme was polka dots. The bride wanted a "fun" reception incorporating many colors and LOTS of polka dots! I think we were able to accomplish what she had asked for! Take a look. . . .
Here is a pre-wedding shot of us hanging lanters, lights, fabric, and setting tables hours before the ceremony. Notice the water seaping into the tent from outside. Luckily enough, the rain cleared just in time for the outdoor garden ceremony!

You'll be amazed what finds you make when you shop for budget decor items. A small budget doesn't mean you can't find some wonderful pieces of furniture and decorative pieces. There are plenty of sources for decorative bargains and it can be lots of fun to search for, and find, the items that will make your house a home.There are bargains galore at garage sales. If you don’t know how to shop them, just ask around and you’re sure to find a friend or relative who would be happy to show you the ropes. Cash will get you the best bargains as will showing up early or just before closing time.

vintageprintable.com
I mentioned vintageprintable in a post last week (about galleries) but I wanted to focus a little more on them. After spending two hours today going through almost every single page on their site, I was so excited to get started on a photo grouping project! You can save and print every single one of their images, free of charge. It's like instant, free, vintage art! I would love to do a grouping of sea shell prints all in thin gold frames and white mats. Or how about a wall lined with framed vintage posters in thick chunky black frames? They have a huge collection of things ranging from advertisements to farm animals to botanicals and more. Check 'em out! Here are a few of my favorites;

Gotta love a deal!
Quote for the day
"Today, instead of focusing on what needs to be finished, changed, repaired or replaced, I'm gonna enjoy what I have, where I have it, while I have it because we all know that it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful." ---taken from the Nesting Place blog post this morning. Very well stated.
